Platinum

Acipenser gueldenstaedtii + Acipenser baerii hybrid

Combining the characteristics of two distinguished species, the Russian and Siberian sturgeon, Platinum caviar has a distinctive flavour.

Farmed in Belgium, Platinum comes from sturgeon whose parent species can grow over two metres in length, with females typically beginning to produce roe after around seven to 12 years.

Its smooth, medium sized pearls naturally vary in colour from dark grey and brown to lighter shades delivering a caviar with notes of almond oil, subtle tannins, and a lingering finish.

An appealing alternative to Oscietra for those seeking a more pronounced taste without the price associated with the rarest caviars.
